What CMS families should know
The Children's Medical Services (CMS) Health Plan is Florida Medicaid's plan for children with special health care needs, including autism. Since October 1, 2026 it is administered by Molina Healthcare. Your child's benefits did not change; the company running the plan did.
You don't need to re-enroll
CMS Plan members were moved to Molina automatically. Use the Molina ID card you received; if it hasn't arrived, we can verify your child's eligibility for you.
Earlier authorizations are honored
ABA approved before the switch is honored during Molina's continuity-of-care period. We check the end date on day one and file the renewal early so nothing lapses.
Switching providers keeps your hours
If your current ABA provider is not in Molina's CMS network, we request the records and current plan and submit a transfer authorization, so therapy continues without a gap.
How to start ABA with Molina CMS
Here is the real path, step by step. Already have the evaluation and referral? We start the same week. We handle steps 2 through 4 with you.
Diagnosis and physician order
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation by a licensed practitioner plus a referral for ABA from your child's doctor.
Assessments
Our BCBA completes the Vineland-3 and BASC-3 and a functional behavior assessment, in your home or our office.
Authorization
We submit the treatment plan to Molina and follow up until it is approved. Authorizations run in six-month cycles; we track renewals so services don't lapse.
Therapy begins
A Registered Behavior Technician works with your child at home or at school, supervised by a BCBA, with caregiver training included.
